The historic Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center in Los Angeles was destroyed in the rapidly growing Eaton Fire. Video caught the moments flames engulfed the center which has been in the Pasadena community for over 100 years.|

What we know so far:
Major Impact and Loss of Life
– At least 6 confirmed deaths, with the possibility of more casualties
– Nearly 180,000 people forced to evacuate their homes
Multiple Active Fires
– At least five separate fires burning simultaneously
– Conditions fueled by dry weather and strong winds
– Palisades Fire is the most severe, burning over 19,978 acres and destroying approximately 5,316 structures
– New Kenneth Fire has emerged in Woodland Hills, threatening Calabasas

Emergency Response Issues
– An erroneous evacuation alert was sent to about 10 million residents
– This mistake likely caused unnecessary panic among people outside the threat zones
